## What it covers

Hospital + medical in one

Part A and Part B benefits combined, with an annual out-of-pocket maximum — something Original Medicare doesn't have.

Usually includes drug coverage

Most plans fold in Part D, so there's one card and one company to deal with.

Often adds extras

Many plans include dental, vision, or hearing benefits. What's offered varies by plan and county — that's where a comparison matters.

Network-based care

Plans use provider networks. I always check that your doctors and hospitals are in-network before we consider a plan.

## Is it right for you?

Medicare Advantage works well for many people — and the right answer starts with a conversation.

We'll look at your doctors, your prescriptions, your budget, and how you actually use care — then compare your options side by side, alongside any other benefits you may have.

## Common questions

Can I have Medicare Advantage with VA health care?

Yes. Many of my veteran clients keep VA health care and add a Medicare Part C plan — I'll walk you through the process.

When can I enroll or switch plans?

Most people enroll around their 65th birthday, during the Annual Enrollment Period each fall (October 15 – December 7), or during a Special Enrollment Period after certain life events. We'll figure out which window applies to you.

Is there a cost for your assistance?

No — there is never a monetary exchange between me and my clients. I earn my living through the carriers I'm contracted with.

Do I still pay my Part B premium?

Yes. With a Medicare Advantage plan you stay enrolled in Medicare and keep paying your Part B premium, plus the plan's premium if it has one.

Is there a way to help with hospital costs on a Medicare Advantage plan?

Some people add a hospital indemnity plan, which pays a set cash benefit for a covered hospital stay that you can put toward copays or other expenses. It's separate from Medicare and isn't right for everyone — I'm happy to walk through whether it makes sense for you.
